Life Sciences Interactive Map
Project Completed Summer 2015
Possibly my favorite project during my time in Life Science’s IT was this, a touch screen to guide visitors inside our beautiful building. The building was going to be used for a big education conference, so, we needed to provide a simple way for people of all ages to find the rooms they needed to get to.
As the only designer in the team, I was given a lot of freedom with the creative side of the project, and the awesome developing team worked the magic to make the process work just like we envisioned it on our first whiteboard drafts.
I was in charge of all the graphics, the slideshow on the front, typography, and the layouts and menus on each floor page. Also, the slideshow features images that I had taken of the building for previous projects.
We are IT. We obviously included some easter eggs. And we won’t tell you what they are.
The year that followed was very fulfilling, since we had to walk past the screens with our map every day to get to work.
Throughout high school and college, team work usually meant annoyance to me. But my experience with LSIT’s web team completely changed that.
